About Elisa Adams-Rae

Elisa’s love of construction took root at an early age while growing up in South Florida. Her first project was assisting with the rebuilding of home for her family and neighbors after Hurricane Andrew devastated Homestead, Florida in 1993.

Elisa says, “My parents had me help clean-up the damage, as learning basic skills while rebuilding homes. The damage was so widespread that everyone was pitching in.  I got so much satisfaction from helping others and seeing how the destruction refreshed humanity in people.”

Her love of construction grew stronger when Elisa began working on all the home and physician office remodels her parents did. “During this time, I learned all the trades first hand, and grew my strong work ethic from my parents.”

Elisa’s grandfather was an engineer, which inspired her to go to work with RPH Engineering.  “I started with testing soil and concrete, moved onto quality control of slabs and footers, and eventually became a project manager of quality control. From there, I became a project engineer and assisted with designs for many commercial buildings in Florida and various other states.”  Elisa is a former  Project Manager for Brownwood Paddock Square in The Villages and still maintains a close relationship with the owner/engineer.

In September of 2000, Elisa was offered a position with MiCO Customs. She oversaw the building and remodeling of homes, lanais enclosures and pergolas, as well as the commercial build-outs and renovations. She received her General Contractor’s license January 17, 2013.

Elisa says, “I consider my best attribute to getting the job done right the first time, on time. My parents taught me that there is nothing you can’t accomplish in life if you put your mind to it.  All obstacles have a weakness; you just have to find it.”

Her ties to the Lake & Sumter County area go way back. “My parents have owned land in Lady Lake for over 30 years. I have happy memories of galloping our horses across Highway 441 where The Villages are now located.”

Along with her successful career, Elisa has been happily married for 15 years and is mother to a 6-year old son and 2-year old daughter. Elisa is also a proud Marine Corps veteran, having served as a Crash Crew Fire Fighter.  Her experience prompted her to become a volunteer firefighter after service as well as a volunteer with the Ambulance Corp Key Largo.
